A Journey of Growth and Gratitude

 我が子の通う児童館の卒業式。もう約3年間、お世話になりました。入園したのは1年生の後半でした。当時、日本語は全く分からない子供に、言葉だけでなく、遊びや文化、さまざまなことが教えられました。良い環境、素晴らしい人々、そして友達に恵まれ、子供が大きく成長したことに感謝しています。 

 もう3年も経つなんて、あっという間です。始まりがあれば、時が来たら終わります。私たちはこれからの段階に備え、しっかりと準備を整えなければならないと感じています。 

 My child's graduation ceremony at the children's center—a place that has been our second home for almost three years. When my child first entered, it was already halfway through the first grade, not knowing a single word of Japanese. Yet, he learned not only the language but also games, cultural aspects, and so much more. We are grateful for the nurturing environment, the people, and the friends our child has found here. Their growth has been remarkable.

 Three years—it feels like just a blink of an eye. Everything has a beginning, and when the time comes, it also comes to an end. It makes me realize the importance of properly closing chapters in our lives.

Among the myriad of attractions, one stands out—the performances of TokyoStreetRockers, who recreate the charm of 70s rock and roll. Their performances not only entertain but also rekindle the counterculture and rebellious spirit of the 70s. Their music captivates audiences, shaking the entire park with timeless energy. Missing the powerful performances of TokyoStreetRockers at Yoyogi Park on the weekend is simply not an option.

⛄Snow again in Tokyo⛄

3月8日。東京でまた雪が降った！朝、目を覚ますと窓から見える屋根が約2センチも雪で覆われているのが見えました。まるで冬の絵のような景色です。

面白いことに、前回の雪の後、息子が今回の雪で雪合戦をあまり楽しまなかったと言いました。そこで、次は来年まで待つか、それとも雪の多い場所に行ってみるか、息子のやりたいことを尊重しようと考えました。彼の望みをかなえてあげたいなあ、と心から思います。

外を見ていると、息子の願いをかなえることができて嬉しい気持ちになりました。それで、息子が学校に行く間、私も一緒に朝のジョギングに出かけました。途中で、ちょっとした雪合戦を楽しんだりもしました。

この朝は、思いがけない楽しい出来事が起こることもあると思い知らされました。初めはダメだと思ったことでも、最終的には素敵なことが訪れるかもしれない、ということを思いました。

March 8th. It's snowing again in Tokyo! When I woke up this morning, I saw rooftops covered in about 2 centimeters of snow from the window. It looked like a scene from a winter painting.

Interestingly, after the previous snowfall, my son mentioned that he didn't enjoy the snowball fight as much this time around. So, I pondered whether to wait until next year or to visit a snowier place, all while considering my son's desires. I truly want to honor his wishes.

Looking outside, I felt happy at the thought of fulfilling my son's wish. So, while my son headed off to school, I joined him for a morning jog. Along the way, we even had a little snowball fight.

This morning reminded me that sometimes unexpected and enjoyable things can happen. Even things that initially seem disappointing might turn into something wonderful in the end.
